Welcome to Stamp Community Forum, Mike100! Well, I collect worldwide, so yes I collect Italy and Colonies. However, I am not a specialist in that area. Feel free to post pics of your collection when you have time! k |

I collect Italy! I have not gotten into the colonies. Much like France, I will focus on them once I have amanged to get as many stamps for the main country first that I can on my budget. |

Yes, welcome. I'm in the same camp as the other responses so far...classic-era, world wide, so Italy and early colonies are of interest to me. Saseno, Castellorizo, Oltre Giuba... Almost makes me forget about the British Commonwealth...almost.
I'd encourage you to spend a few minutes figuring out how to post scans...it opens up the forum experience faster than anything else. And everyone likes looking at stamps. |

Welcome to the forum Mike Just keep asking questions, no matter how mundane they might seem to you because you don't learn if you don't ask. This forum firmly believes that there aren't any dumb questions <G> Chimo Bujutsu |

A couple of reminders about scanning a single stamp: 1. DO make the scan area as small as possible, say, 2x2 inches. 2. DON'T use the entire scanner glass, then crop away tons of blank space; this definitely leads to inferior results. 3. Forget about cellphone photos. |

Just realised there weren't many actual stamps in my first selection So just to prove I've got a few, even though it's covers that are REALLY sexy... Istria and Dalmatia Italian occupation of Slovenia Italian occupation of Dalmatia Italian occupation of Monrenegro Yugoslav Partisan overprints on captured Italian stock US/UK administration of Venezia Giulia Unofficial propaganda stamp by pro-Italian groups in Trieste/Istria US/UK administration of Trieste |

I truly wish the Trentino overprints of my Mothers place of birth were not so pricey and subject to counterfeiting !! |

Here is an Italy-Offices in Constantinople (Costantinopoli) with a Credit Lyonnais "CL" perfin (and atrocious centering). [edit: That's what posting on a small screen gets you. Doh!] |

I have never seen 'Constantinopel' spelled without the 'n'. Is this an error? |
