"Nice shape," which is an opinion rather than a condition, still means no tears, no creases, no thins, no scuffs, no stains, original color, a reasonably light cancel, and fine or better centering.

For stamps printed very close together, like some early U.S., sometimes you make allowances for the centering factor.

That's quite a list, but condition matters, regardless of age.
