I have done some research and found that I have a local stamp club that is close to home. I have never been a club member or attended a meeting or even a stamp show, so I'm really not sure about how clubs work.

The club itself is listed on the Internet, included in a list of all clubs in Michigan. They do not have a website, but only list the times that they meet and where. There is also a list of a contact name and telephone number.

My questions to the group are:

Do I call the number and ask for more details about the club? (I'm hesitant to bother someone with such trivial questions)

Would I be imposing if I attended one of their meetings unannounced?

Is there anything that I need to know before attending a meeting?

Sorry for these questions, but I really have no clue as to the protocol for clubs and their meetings. I appreciate any help that anyone experienced with clubs can pass along.
