Anyone know of any stamps with camera's or photographers in them? I have a new hobby, Polaroid Instant Camera's and taking pictures with them.

Hey, 'dude, I was gone for quite a while, and it occurs to me I haven't seen you since I've been back...

Do they still make film packs, or do you have to find "vintage" NOS packs?

Polaroid - nothing like the smell of that stuff you used to smear on the pictures after you took them on the "original" polaroid films. Sorta like cider vinegar.

Can you still get the film for the Polaroids? My favorite Polaroid camera of all time was the SX-70 from back in the 70's. It had a brushed aluminum body with leather trim. The thing that made it unique was that it was a true reflex camera. What you saw through the view finder was what you got. You looked through the lens. It had a motor that lifted the mirror up off the film and made the exposure. The pictures were the best Polaroid ever came up with. The price at the time in the early 70's was well over 100 dollars (170 if I am recalling correctly) which was a fortune at that time. I had a car (new) and the monthly payment was only 69 dollars after a down payment of only 600 dollars.

Sorry guys and gals. Polaroid no longer makes film packs, however a new company called The Impossible Project started in 2008 and bought the last remaining polaroid factory. Theyproduce film for Polaroid 600's, sx-70's, sonars, spectra's, 8 x 10's, etc. I also have found a couple of new in box expired Polaroid film packs at my grandmothers house and used both recently in one of my 600's. I also have a SX-70 in brushed steel and tan leather that I am learning to use. I am always on the lookout for cheap Polaroid Instant camera's to add to my new collection. The film is a bit expensive, but if anyone is interested in ordering some send me a message with your email address and I'll send you a welcome email.

It is good to see some familiar avatars: Cjd, rohumby, scouter, tomiseksj, timbres! I forgot to set a topic subscription and thought that noone had posted to my new thread. LOL! BTW if anyone wants to see some of my pictures look me up on Flicker by stamperdude.
