Today is going to be a day of mixed feelings.......very much so.

I have just returned from taking my 'little' girl to start her army service. It was a very emotional trip [at least for me], and I was stuck for words when the time came to say goodbye. As the bus, full of 18 year-old female 'newbies', pulled away, it was hard to hold back the tears.

In another hour, I will be leaving for the airport and my UK holiday will begin. But it seems such a long way off and yet I know it will all be OK once I arrive and start to hit the Philatelic trail !

The trail will start tomorrow with a visit to London's longest-running Stamp Fair, always a great event although it is a few years since I attended.
Saturday will see another visit to an excellent Stamp Fair, one of my favourites, in Mark's Tey, Colchester. There is a wonderful dealer in Cinderella material attending..............

Then jump forward to the end of the month and the 4-day Stampex National Exhibition at the Business design Centre, London. Hopefully, I will be in the capital for all 4 days and hope to meet one or two others from SCF and elsewhere.

The holiday, as my holidays usually are, was arranged with these events in mind, so one could say it really is a 'Philatelic Holiday' !

.
Of course, there will be much more besides, but all the while my thoughts will be with my 'little' girl far away............
Au revoir
