Since the ad says "cutlery", my money goes on it being a can opener, with the notch to hold the rim of a can.
The company did have catalogs. A quick check doesn't turn up one online but somone else might have better luck. |

Hadn't seen this type of company in this thread. Mitchell, SD, population about 4200 in 1903 is home to The Corn Palace a Moorish Revival building decorated with crop art; the murals and designs covering the building are made from corn and other grains, and a new design is constructed each year. It is a venue for concerts, sports events, exhibits and other community events. It is the last surviving Corn Palace beginning here in 1892. Rebuilt twice, it had a major remodel in 1937. It gets about a half million visits per year. |

Wow @parcelpostguy that really is a great cover in every respect. I (of course) especially love the mandolin on the back, although the Milano postmarks add to even the interest of that!
Kind of love the idea of a piece of advertising mail with a bowlback "potato bug" mandolin going TO Italy. Thanks for sharing! |

From my Latin America illustrated cover group is this 1935 music-related Radio Ecuador cover addressed to Frank Holton & Company. Frank Holton was a prominent trombonist with the John Phillip Sousa band and founder of his band instrument manufacturing company in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, circa 1918. Frank died in 1942, but the company continued under different owners in Elkhorn until 2008 when it moved to Eastlake, OH. It appears to be still in business. DonSellos |

DonSellos, nice cover. Do you mind posting it here: https://goscf.com/t/77248 a new thread for music themed covers of the world? Thanks in advance for the additional work to do so. |
