I post here a picture of a London Olympic Committee label strip in brownish orange colour. I think it is a colour trial as it has no gum and I have seen picture of a perforated Olympic Committee label which is brown.

Does anyone have more information, for example who printed these labels or who would have made the rather attractive Britannia design? I think these are another example of how much more pleasing cinderella designs are in comparison to stamps.
Perhaps they had to try harder because these labels had no value in paying revenue and the only way to sell them to get money for a good cause was to make them look nice.

Sounds like like modern stamps the postal services put out...

But seriously, it looks like there is a printers name under the "exposition". I can't read it, though. There's defentely SOMETHING there.

I don't have too much information about your example either, but based on this illustration it appears that France did a "joint" issue in similar form. The text is readable under the design, and appears to read "R. St. Laurent, Paris":

Good spot, there really was the name of the printer. Text is broken so it can be viewed only in a close up that the London Olympic Committee printers was in Paris, like the other labels in the series.

There is another reason to collect cinderellas. There are no catalogues for this material and therefore new things to discover. There is a good selection of Franco-British Exhibition labels like the red one above. They sold different colour labels for various exhibition buildings. Was that possibly the first Olympic merchandise shop?
