As the title says, I recently purchased these and didn't recognize the country or couldn't identify them in Scott's. Any help would be appreciated.

united Arab emerites (is that Egypt?)

United Arab Republic = Egypt.
UAE (Emirates) is a separate country.

Scan 2 Row 2 Stamp 3 is NOT United Arab Emirates, nor as it happens Egypt. The United Arab REPUBLIC was a shortlived amalgum of Egypt and Syria. But since they didn't amalgamate their monetary systems they had to issue separate stamps. This is 1959 issue of Syria.
