Queensland The area which later became Queensland was previously part of NSW, known as the Moreton Bay district. "Settled by Poor debtors and petty criminals. Today suffers from under population and mismanagement"

Hi Rod222 Have you seen this variety, I was inspired to have a quick look at my unsorted Queensland and found this at a quick glance. Regards Horamakhet |

Yep, H same stamp, yours is more true to colour. with used stamps, their prev history could be anything mine possibly soaked warm water or exposed to light. No varieties listed in this fellow.

I've only got 3 Queensland stamps, and one happens to be a green 6 pence. But dang if it don't have those numbers in the top corners! Missed it by that much! But what do you make of this one Rod? Quite the ink smear across the top border. Appears unused, but unfortunately has a bad thin on the back. |

EFO James? (On the KG5 sideface, these are referred to as "compartment lines" caused by, I think, wear of the plate, but with your issue I have seen no reference.) fairly common rascal, circa $3 mint Look for the Moire on the back! 1890-1894 wmk Crown Q (should be sideways) Perf 12.5 , Perf 13 (comb machine) yours looks line perf Yours looks like deep blue-green no? exists green deep green deep blue-green Caveat: I am working from 1993 catalogue This looks like comb perforation. |

Quote: Missed it by that much!
I bought a stamp last week for $47 It could be worth $1,400, I am waiting for it to arrive But my guess, based on past experience, will be "missed it by that much" It will all come down to shade. |

PS: why fret over a thin? In a $2000 stamp, you have an issue, with a $3 stamp, It's no body's business People shouldn't be looking at the rear of ladies anyhow! |

You're quietly toiling away here, rod, but keep it up. This is great stuff. |
