Warning: there's no great kernel of philatelic knowledge in this post, just something I thought of while staring at my computer screen....
I usually don't change the background wallpaper on my computer -- basic black or blue is fine for me. I'm sure many of you already do this or a variation, but if you don't, I recommend it...
As I was browsing SCF the other day, I noticed a nice scan of a stamp and thought it would make a nice wallpaper. It did, then I saw another, and another. In fact the "Collecting by Engraver" thread is FULL of awesome scans. So I right-clicked, save-as to my pictures folder and set my wallpaper to rotate images in that folder.
I'm happy with the result. It took almost no effort and it certainly makes my office computer more interesting. And now people who visit my office "ooh and ahh" about my computer screen
