Are these Essays or maybe counterfeit? The image does not look of sufficient quality to me, the back is not gummed and looks like a manila folder, and does not appear new. (There is no no. 8 or no.9.

For the actual stamps, quick check is: wide margins = fakes

I am not aware of any essays, so I don't know the criteria. However, even if they were possible essays, there are some definite fakes in your pics based on design criteria alone. So I would say it is a good bet that the whole batch is nothing more than fakes, rather than possible essays.

It's a lot easier checking forgery details when all the stamps are in the correct orientation.
