I have this cover in my collection from a member of the Canadian Armed Forces with the UN in the Golan Heights of Israel.

Everything is familiar but, the abbreviation "CANLOG" is stumping me. Obviously it is "Canadian" something but I am not sure what the "LOG" part stands for? The only thing I can think of is 'logistics' but not sure if that is applying here?

Can anyone help?

Thanks a lot

UNDOF = United Nations Disengagement Observer Force
CANLOG = Canadian Logistics Company

Quote:
On 8 June 1977, the Canadian UNDOF detachment gained its technical and operational independence, becoming the Canadian Logistics Company (CANLOG) and reporting to UNDOF headquarters.
