Looking for information on 1922 King George V, 1c yellow, Scott 105, design A43, that is perforated diagonally from upper left to lower right as "ONR" or "CNR" Looks more like "ONR", but could be "CNR"

Anyone know what this abbreviation represents?

Thanks in advance.
Donald

Hello dlambert1
The perforated initials CNR are for CANADIAN NATIONAL RAILWAY. According th the 4th edition of "Canadian Stamps with Perforated Initials" edited by J. Johnson & G. Thommason (BNAPS Perfin Study Group) there are 6 variations of this perfin. There are no lostings for "ONR"

Thank you, Pepere and Gportch. A good web site.

Also found, courtesy of the Forum, this web site; http://www.bnaps.org/perfinhandbook...andbook.html
This site shows CNR can be either Canadian National Railway or Canadian Northern Railway and the positions of the letters with respect to each other can be used to distinguish the two. Careful examination of my stamp shows that it is a Canadian Northern Railway perfin. This is confirmed by the date of issue (1922) which predates the perfins of the Canadian National Railway.

Thanks for your help...
Donald
