I thought it would be nice to begin to build an online dictionary of philatelic terminology, and what better place to do it than here on SCF. I will post up a new term every couple of days, and lets see if we can get some informative discussion (and PICS!) on the topic.

(Who knows, maybe if this continues to grow, we might be able to persuade the powers that be to separate them into a specific sub-forum.)

I will keep each topic in a separate thread, so that the conversation can grow and expand with some continuity. I encourage others to also start topics with this format, so that we can increase our vocabulary.
