A great article (as pointed out by other members) on the APS site has great information on how to remove Self adhesive stamps from paper. Using bestine and talc. I would like to try that, but am unable to locate either item here in Central Oregon. I have searched hi and low to no avail. The store I work at does carry Zep products but nothing in citrus. So, I am left doing an experiment.
What a good use for all the damaged PSA stamps. I used Ronsonol lighter fluid to remove a stamp that would not soak off. After it dried completely I took a stick of plain white chalk, typically made from gypsum, and rubbed it on a piece of 600 grit water proof Emory cloth. So far the result is specimen that can be mounted to a page, however a hinge will not stick. I will keep it seperated to see if anything happens to it.
