Does anyone have any information on this variety of overprint. The C and E are wider apart ,giving this overprint a wider look.

Not mentioned in Gibbons or Robson Lowe.

However, as 420,480 stamps were printed, and the overprints were prepared from movable type, this sort of slight variation is to be expected. You find similar slight differences in the contemporary overprints for the Indian Convention States.

I wouldn't expect any premium over the 75p catalogue value, unless it was in a positional block.

Bridger and Kay don't reference any differences, either, other than the missing stops, 'O' for 'C' and misplaced overprints. These were printed at the Government Printing Offices in Calcutta.
