Here is my new arrival, Nova Scotia #3. Tiny margins, but the design is intact. |

Thanks Clintd. Who says you can no longer get bargains on ebay? I got this for a fraction of catalog value. No damage, no thins or hinge clumps. |

I'm just waiting on a 5c NS victoria from overseas to arrive. No gum but not cancelled which are hard to find and I threw a really low offer and they took it. BeeSee if you happen to have PEI 4-1/2d I am sure I have most other NS Cents at least. |

Those are all great looking Beesee. I really like the #3. I'll have to keep an eye out for one. |

I have NB 3p red as well as bisect on cover front. Now a copy of Charles Connel would really make my day. Maybe I'll find him in a garage sale lot. |

Wow! That is a gem! Cancelled from Saint John even, my home town. I have a cover with the full stamp but the bisect is something to dream about. I have seen a Connell but not something most collectors can afford. I have a proof in my collection but don't expect to be buying the real thing anytime soon. |

NB if you come across another proof of Connell please let me know. I doubt I will ever have a real copy myself but then again I never expected to own the NB and NS bisect I have either. For some crazy reason I bought a monster WW collection so I fear my new want list may expand by a few hundred countries. |

Yes, very nice stamps BeeSee. My Nova Scotia collection consists entirely of 8, 9, 11, and 12, all mint. I rarely see used stamps in my day to day travels. I don't tend to hunt them down, certainly I can find them on ebay. An area of my collection sorely neglected (as are many). And, may I say, beautiful cover nitro. Has everything going for it, except not being mine, of course. |

Nitro I will watch for Connell proofs but the ones I have seen recently are expensive and you have to watch for fakes here too. I got mine from a reputable dealer so am quite sure it is genuine. As a matter of interest, the real stamp I've seen is on display at Connell House in Woodstock, N.B. Connell House is the original home of the postmaster and is now a museum and arts centre. The owner of the stamp told me once that it is one of two that are known to be in N.B. but he didn't or wouldn't tell me who owns the second one. |
