In one of my albums of stamps,my grandfather had a star and a question mark by this stamp,and I have searched high and low in scotts for it
Can anyone ID this stamp lease and its value perhaps as well?

I don`t know what catalogue you use, but seek under `telegraph stamps`. Year of issue 1900, Ecuador.

Hi Dave,

It is a Telegraph stamp. They are not listed in Scott. Stanley Gibbons or Michel. They might be listed in Yvert & Tellier.

They are listed in a 1980 Minkus Latin America catalog.
