So today I was thinking about all these plate blocks that are damaged because one or more of the stamps or the selvage is stuck to a page. Should I do this or that or the other thing? Then I was looking at my US album and I realized that at this point I need to mix my collections up. Wouldn't you know it.... Most of the damaged block have minimum 1, mostly 2, and sometimes 3 good MNH stamps. So I looked through the pages and voila! I get to replace a bunch of canceled with MNH stamps, and also complete some pages. Better yet, I just got a whole bunch of Scott mounts from Global. Add, that one album ends in 75 and the other 87, I'm gonna combine and make one big one. Now I just need a couple of the aluminum extender posts for the binder.
I got so excited, I just spent an hour interleaving the blocks between the album pages, to get them in the right place to mount them.
Then I can sweat the remaining stamps off the pages and create some covers to share.
Well, that's me having a great time making something positive out of damage. Makes me feel kinda like a kid in a candy store.
