I know this is Lombardy, but any idea if it's real? How can I tell. Never seen one before so hard to tell. It does have a watermark. Looks like a letter K
You probably know this already, but I'll say it anyway, for the benefit of anyone else reading this: The watermark is ZEITUNGSMARKEN in double lined capitals - so a K is good. The arms should be what Gibbons refers to as a Type 2 (the ribbon over the left eagle's head not truncated) - looks like that's right too. Finally there were reprints made in 1873. This is never good news. I've no idea what the reprints were like for this issue, but hopefully someone else on the Forum will!
