Another interesting stamp. I believe it is Scott #35 perforated 12. Not sure if this is a lovely cancel, or an overprint not listed in scott.

A fairly common postmark on these issues in my experience,
exist in all sorts of formats, 2 frame bars, 3 frame bars etc.

I find these postmarks fascinating but difficult to identify with confidence even with handbooks.

Remind me and the next time in Turkey, I'll print the pics out and take them to a friend of mine who is one of the few people under 60 I've met who can still read and write Old Turkish. Here's a nice site with lots of info on Ottoman and Turkish philately
