I have this QV 25 cent telegraph stamp. Does anyone know which country it is? Also is this half of a stamp, I've seen others that looked liked they were longer.

I think this is from Ceylon, but I would not swear to it.

Yeah, the cancel looks like Colombo, capital of Ceylon.

I agree that it looks like Ceylon, probably the 1882 series. Used telegraph stamps from Ceylon are regularly found cut in half.

Now listed in Gibbons, as Ceylon SG T12, and priced for the used half at 50p

Edit: Looked at the watermark again, and I think it's SG T140 (issued 1894), and catalogued at 75p
