Austria Austrian National Library – Museum of Literature April 18, 2015 The Literature Museum of the Austrian National Library presents Austrian literature from the 18th century to the present – comprehensively and in all its variety. Books, manuscripts, letters, drawings, photos as well as fascinating objects such as Ernst Jandl's director's chair or a model for the "Rose house" from Adalbert Stifter's novel "Der Nachsommer" will give visitors a close-up experience of literary creativity. The Literary Archives gathers lifetime and posthumous bequests of Austrian authors beginning with the 20th century and makes them available for scholarly research. |
