I really like those 1949 ones, especially the Taj Mahal.
Thanks for showing them tikithindi .

I find all Indian definitives interesting and of course also their
commemoratives.

Wish we had more members showing Indian stamps and also
post news regarding stamp collecting on the sub continent.

It appears that there are millions of Indian collectors and the hobby
is growing leaps and bounds there.

tikithindi, I for one would really love to see your stamps as I'm sure would other forum members.
That's what makes these stamp forums so much fun and useful...
images,images and more images.
Don't worry about how much they are worth that has nothing
to do with the enjoyment one can get out of looking at a stamp.

Look at the stamps on the Engravers thread, they are real beauties
even though most (mine at least) are worth mere pennies.

You have shown excellent scans so far, therefore scan and post away.

Here is my humble used copy of the 10r Atomic Reactor from 1965.

Note the difference in the value box; Tikithindi's has just the value whereas mine has additional Rs motif. I only have access to Scott which has a picture showing my design for 1965 issue. It was reissued in 1975 but sadly Scott makes no mention if this is the source of the design change. Any information in SG etc.?
