The latest round of Delcampe security issues has made me want to close my account. Deleting my account is proving to be difficult, for me it is anyways.....

I have had to send some guy at Delcampe an email saying I want my account closed, that sucks and is complete *** Edited by Staff | The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Bypassing the filter and making the intended word obvious anyway is completely unacceptable. ***. Sent the message saying I want my account closed early yesterday and still haven't had any sort of reply. Why do I have to rely on someone else to do this.... total nonsense. You would figure with all the crap that has hit the fan over there they would be well staffed and ready to handle requests like mine, or questions from others.

What is stopping the person at the other end from doing what they please with all of my account info.

I am seriously starting to trip out a bit, and that is never a good thing.

Hopefully it will all work out.

Have a good one,

Skilo54

If you think that's hard, try getting rid of Facebook, which some IDIOT "friend" of mine signed me up for, without my knowledge, 6 months ago, and I am still trying to GET RID OF THESE PESTS. But they have "bought" good advertising -- I tell everybody I know to stay far far far far away from Facebook, they are s--------'s.

Just to provide a balanced viewpoint, I have never had a bit of trouble with Delcampe, and CEO and Owner "Seb" is always on hand if you need him. Ever try to get ebay to respond, much less take a personal interest in your problem??????? But this week, they have learned a valuable P.R. lesson.

I'd say Gibbons might try to snap them up, just like they did BidStart. That would be very bad for the hobby, I think: " ebay" and "clone of ebay," last men standing.

edit
Makes sense too, a bigger toehold in Europe, where the majority of Delcampe's members live -- acquire an American online auction (BidStart) and finish up with a European online auction (Delcampe), followed by PLENTY of ads sprinkled through the auction listings.

Just got rid of it myself. Me it was a friend who convince me to subscribe. Don't need neither that friend or Facebook. And a Blah Blah here, and a Blah Blah there...

It's a good idea to change passwords regularly anyways (on any site). I probably don't do it as often as I should either, maybe I'll start now.
