Please post the image here. I'd prefer not to follow a link.

Thanks.

The figure looks similar to illustration A4 in Russia, but the outer graphic looks earlier and more primitive.

Without knowing anything about this area, that cancel looks like the type of cancel that typifies an early forgery. But hopefully someone who knows this material can provide a more authoritative opinion.

It may be cut from stationary, or even revenue.

Could be from a child's toy Post Office set too. And Moscow is never spelled "Mosca" on Russian cancels. I have my doubts if it's even a stamp.

I agree the cancel looks dodgy. The Russian for Moscow is Moskva and would normally be in Cyrillic not Latin. Mosca is what they call it in Italy - possibly other places as well.

I have frequently come across Moscow written in Cyrillic as Mocba and also as Mockba. So is it possible that there are more ways than one to write the name? Any Russian speakers out there?

Moscow is written "MOCKBA" in Cyrillic and it reads Moskva. I have never seen a postmark written "Mosca" or "Mosca..somthing". However, there are some registration label written "Moscou" in French, mainly for international destination.
