I always liked those "pointing hands" rubber stamps. I wonder what the red T26 <? means? Perhaps the amount of postage due? Neat cover to look over as there is a lot going on with it- thanks for posting it.
I think that the "T26" means that 26P is due. My guess is that the UK rate to the US must have been 63P so, the deficiency is doubled because there was not enough postage to cover the rate. Most countries charged double the deficient rate that was lacking.
I think in red is 26p Postage due. On the cover address is written 10 West End ave,NY 10021
Post Office says no such number NY 10023. NY 10023 Zip code is on Park avenue where as 10 West ave, NY 10021 is located on FDR drive. Looks like it is aprtment complex building.Also carrier route no is 19 with initials.
Did Post office Look at Zipcode..? 10021 or 10023. Rubber stamps says 10023 Zipcode.
