Does anyone collect Moroccan stamps? I just started to collect them. I was wondering if there was any interest.
I heard rumor that Morocco may join the European union in 5-10 years and this could drive the value of their old stamps

What a beautiful stamp Triggersmob. That stamp is of the old King. I have one stamp of the old King too. I also have 2 others of the new King. I will find them and post them.
Thanks for your interest. |

That's a nice pair of stamps. Nothing wrong with your photo. Not as big as mine, but maybe you didn't zoom in as close. A little crooked too, but I'm fussy like that, I like to have them straight. Steve |

I find it interesting and very unusual that you are collecting Moroccan stamps. Do you have any ties to Morocco, or is it just a fascination for you?
I collect German material but I lived there for 6 years as a child. |

That's cool Cynthia. I've sailed past Morocco several times but never was able to get ashore.
If you've got family there now, maybe they can be a conduit to some good (and hopefully inexpensive) sources for Morrocan material! |

Yes I do. I have started to collect the dirham and their stamps.
I travel there at least once a year. This year I hope to travel to either Spain or Germany (both will be my first time) before I head back to see the family. Morocco is a very beautiful and magical place. Time goes by slow, people are friendly and there is always something to see (even if it is just sitting around the neighborhood). I highly recommend everyone visit there at least once in their life. Some visit and never go home, that will one day be me :) |

Hi Cynthia
I do collect stamps from Morocco. Only have a few for now. I've actually been to Morocco in my younger years as part of a school trip. I remember that I loved the food and the culture. Didn't like the king cobras though.

I am so excited because I am about to purchase some North African stamps in an auction, many from Morocco. They say there are many duplicates so I can share. I will post them when I get them. |
