The 1st one does not appear to be a postage stamp.
The 2nd one was part of a set issued in 1961 (SG905). As it is an airmail stamp, presumably it will not appear with the rest of the set in Scott. Look under the C stamps.
ART---try to put all your unknown stamps, under one heading ,not seperate titles it would be easier for many to view and answer ,thanks,we have many good collectors who can answer all your questions under one heading ,thanks again.
Hi Art. Since I collect Portugal & Colonies, I invested in a cheap Portuguese/English paperback dictionary a few years ago. I also have a couple specialized Portuguese stamp catalogs, but don't read Portuguese. The dictionary has helped me out a number of times. If you're a world wide collector, it probably won't make sense to buy a lot of dictionaries. But maybe just French & Spanish dictionaries since so many countries use those two languages. Cheers! Steve
Floortrader; OK, I was just trying to follow the requirement to file the post in the proper category; also makes it easier to track. Trying to load all the images at one time, for me at least, is problematic, and subject to missing pieces.
The last posts were the result of merging one collection with my main collection, which I've now largely finished. It's not likely I'll have so many countries for some time, if ever.
ClimberSteve: Thanks for the suggestion. I'll think about it. I have a Spanish Dictionary but beyond translating a few words, its largely a waste of time I think. Computer translations are better but subject to poor translations due to sentence structures. Between the local German Club and self-help, I taught myself German sufficiently to translate a significant work (See my post under General Discussions) but haven't practiced for some years, either, but at least I can pursue it analytically.
