I have used this program for years free, it seems it is now
$20 which I am happy to pay, however,
I HAVE to update IE to Google Chrome, not happy about that
but I find Fastone Capture is clunky with the new browser.

Anyone else who uses Fastone experiencing this?

For the sake of future searchers, perhaps you would like to update your thread title to 'FastStone'?

I've never tried it, but it looks interesting. If it doesn't work with FireFox, though, it doesn't work for me.

Rod,

Try this, I've been using it for years to edit my photos, scans and pictures.
Good website too, all free stuff.

Rod:

I want to thank you for introducing me to FSCapture.

I like used to like the Windows 7 Snipping Tool and used it often, but it required me to save the image first, then go into a graphics program (usually MS-Paint) to annotate the image.

What I love about FastStone is that I can capture the image (in several different ways) and then do my editing, annotating, text boxes, etc. before I save/print the image.

I grabbed the 30-day free trail and for the first week or so, I sort of felt like I was forcing myself to use it instead of the old way, but by the third week, I knew I would never go back to the old way.

I still haven't memorized the Alt/Ctrl/Shift modifiers of the PrintScreen key, but I'm sure that will come with time.

Thanks for the recommendation,
Kirk
