OK, this one is a stretch but I share it just because it's the only one I've ever seen. In my state revenue collection, I set aside a large amount of rubber cancels, perfins, punch cancels, etc. This is the only horse punch cancel I've ever seen - It's always been one of my favorites Kurt |

klange - Your stamp reminded me of a scene in Mel Brooks's 1974 comedy, "Blazing Saddles." Horse race, designed and engraved by Albert Decaris, and issued by Senegal on September 30, 1961, Scott No. 204, SG No. 233. - nethryk |

I'll never be able to look at that "horse punch cancel" the same way, now! |

klange - I guess that's just what happens when cowpunchers go bad. Przewalski's horse ( Equus przewalskii) is a rare and endangered subspecies of wild horse native to the steppes of central Asia. Here is an image of a booklet stamp depicting the heads of a pair of Przewalski's horses, designed and engraved by Lars Sjööblom after a photograph by C. Larsson, and issued by Sweden on February 28, 1997, Scott No. 2220, Facit No. 2006. - nethryk |

Very nice stamps!
My little girl collects stamps, cover, and postcards with horses.
If anyone has any spares of this topic, let me know. She loves it when I pick up horse stamps for her. She doesn't have any sort of album, but rather arranges them in picture frames for display. |

This tattered old Polish horse and rider (SC147 1919) was part of the small collection of stamps my Dad kept, that were part of the reason I got started in all this. That's why I excuse its less than pristine condition. |

On a new bent, a Waltzing Matilda group sent to me by a SCF member (Mr. Huckles, I believe). Horses in the middle. |
