USPS Priority Mail Stickers (Label 107)

Does anyone pay attention to the different versions of the USPS Priority Mail stickers that you can find every now and then at post offices?

Versus this one I just found on a USPS counter today:



Does anyone pay attention to these varieties? I know there's also a similar label identified as Label 107-R (the "R" identifying it being from a "roll" of labels versus a flat "pad" of them).

It just seemed a bit odd to see the 12-year-old Priority Mail labels still put out for use currently, when the logo has been modestly changed, as shown above.

I have a roll of 107-R, June 2000 it works, why do I care?

I do save these along with air labels, certifieds, customs declations, etc. Here are a few from my pile of stuff to soak.

Interesting that the top two dated 1997 show the website "USPS.GOV" which today is invalid.

Etiquettes and other labels issued by postal services fall under the category of postal paper ephemera, and does have devoted collectors. There once was (still is?) a postal ephemera group and they included paper items, uniforms, postal scales and almost anything post office related that was not a stamp, postal card or stamped envelope.
