Rod: OK; I've nailed down the Burma/Myanmar, Thai and Turkey stamps you identified above.
Re the Russia stamps, I don't find #5 or #7 in Scott's under the year you mentioned. Art
I find the series for #8 (1 Baht), but not this item. |

#8 and #11 are SG 1709 / Scott #1554 from the 1993 set (although SG Part 21 shows this picture for SG 1708!). |

2. This is (as you said) a piece of cut postal stationery and is not listed in the Scott catalog 3. I'm not quite sure what this is.... There doesn't seem to be any sort of denomination, so I'd say it isn't really a stamp. Perhaps it's a Cinderella or something? Does anybody know what the symbol is on it? (it looks sort of like a post horn with an "X" through it to me ...) 6. Try Russian offices in China... Oh, and I think the overprint is "10 CENTS" not joeENTS... |

OK; Found #8/#11 in Scotts (#1554) I thought #11 was an overprint. It's not. The cancel obliterated the denomination. |

I do like the design of #3 - it's great picture of a Siberian flying squirrel. I've not seen this one before. This is a machine label (or "ATM label" etc.) that I think has had its printed value faded in sunshine (or maybe the machine was low in ink?). It originally would have had "MK 2,80" (or a similar value) printed by the machine in the bottom right-hand corner in black ink. You can see that it's still there to some extent but it's now very faint. |

#4 is Russia SG 139 from the 1913 Romanov Dynasty set. It's a good stamp so it's a pity about the holes although they do give it some character! I'd guess it's been cancelled on a money order card or something similar. |

Nice work Nigel. The 1913 Russian may be a telegraph puncture? The Finland ATM or Frama, the ink tends to fade on all countries issues eg Spain for one. Keep this one, Framas tend to command nice prices on ebay, For Romania they are around $10 each, corollary, I have none :( |

Rod, Nigel and new12; Looking good; thank you. But we're not finnish (Sorry, I always wanted to say that.) That just leaves #1, which from the denomination, looks to be from the late 1970's.
On No.5, can anyone convert Russia SG2252b(1958)T0743b 25k to a Scott No? |

Thanks Kim, we have fallen foul of Stanley Gibbons puuting stamps in series with incorrect dates, or not putting issue dates in parentheses.
