Hi KGV your listing a lot more than me by the sound of it I usually do around 15 to 20 auctions 6 days a week. Even that takes an extreme amount of time. I am starting to add in foreign stamped covers up till world war two into my USA stampless, GB pre-stamp & QV stuff. Hopefully there is interest in the foreign stamped covers. You could try addding 2 or 3 decimal covering all years and see how they go. I see just as much interest in the pre-stamp market as stamped covers market. Am staying away from FDC though. If you do coins be careful with them in the post as they can go missing somehow in transit.

After listing over a 1,000 items a week it is just a situation where what sells get replaced by using the old listing with a fresh image.

That is one of the benefits of listing like a stamp catalogue. As you sell them you replace them.

Here is hopeing I can get near 1,500 listings per week for next year.

It really is not so much work as most of the listings needed are all in the unsold area on ebay ready to list them again. So sold & new items only need to be added by using my own listing template.

Happy Days. kg5

My area of selling Australia has started to slow into the no sales on ebay time of year.

It has been interesting adding a bit more info on to this thread each year.

At the end of this month we go back to a $50 per month feature store from a $500 per month anchor store.

Dec & Jan is nice as things slow down and I have some time to get a break from it all.It has been a very long year.

Selling Australia 2000 to 2015 high denoms used & gum used sets totally fails as the Christmas and holiday season starts.

Same for 4 years now. Mid Feb before we see sales again.

Go Duncan!

Interesting that I am kiloware based stamp business and you are a cover based stamp business.

There are huge differences in the way we list, the type of buyers and where they come from + totally different ways to source material etc.

I have become very use to the way I sell. Everything is now very predictable over a yearly cycle. I am very happy with the quality of life it offers.

The good thing about the cover market, when you're talking older stamped covers and pre-stamp everything is unique. Huge market for this in UK / Europe and USA / Canada. People looking for their ancestors names in letters or just collecting letters from various places or for the postmarks. The penny black covers sell every time you list them. Good market but big ebay bill every month. I do throw on the odd loose stamps now and then to. I am glad I sell on ebay USA and not ebay Oz I think that also makes a big difference. I can't predict anything when it comes to what they will sell for. The 1d red stamp on cover seems to be a very popular collecting theme. One sold at $764 recently from a $3 start. Can't beat that.

Nice to shut things down for 6+ weeks except for a couple of kiloware lots. Having 6 weeks away from stamps is good value so as to freshen up for my listing in 2016.Got some great stock in to start the new year with.

The kiloware lots are commemorative only. No definitives of the same 8 stamps that takes up more than 50% of normal kiloware. This mixture saves on mailing costs.

1. Australia Stamps 60c(2010 to 2013) commemorative "Only" On Paper Close cut. 450g + 250g lots.

2. Australia Stamps 50c(2003 to 2008) commemorative "Only" On Paper Close cut. 450g + 250g Lots
