I need your help... anyone know "how to" translate" the puzzle on the this front of this 1930 Flight cover? Does anyone know the background or history? Thanks...

Thanks! Tried connecting the #'s to the Route - no match: and it may be as simple as someone cleaning a "self-numbering" rubber stamp. Then again, it is better to ask a question if you are not sure of the answer. Thanks again.

Hi

Maybe I am a wee bit prejudiced but the map almost looks like a map of Colombia. What it would be doing on a US cover I have no idea.

My first guess was also "connect the dots".

My initial reaction/guess, is that the handstamp shows a map of Wisconsin. But I'm not familiar with the geography of Wisconsin and have never been there...

It's like a philatelic Rorschach test. I see a bunny in a snowstorm.

I know. I know.

It was take your kid to work day at the post office and the clerks child was bored. So to keep his interest the clerk gave him a number stamp.

Certainly not carrier markings lol. A lot of carriers for one cover if they were.

Odd cover alright and certainly a conversation piece to say the least.

Could it represent 1963 to 1987?
Is there a significant event is Wisconsin in the time period?

Sorry to critique, tiki, but you didn't connect the dots correctly ... they should be connected in numerical order ....
