Removing Excess Glue On Stamps

Just wondering what's the best method for removing excess glue from the backs of stamps before placing them in my drying book? Thanks.

If you are talking about early Austria, Great Britain, and Russia, some of which have horrible unremovable gum, you can't really use a drying book. You have to let them air dry (while preventing curling), then press them thoroughly when the gum is absolutely dry.
