The docketing and the heavy horizontal crease are going to hold any value way down. Nice cancel, though; Kusel is in southwest Germany, and was burned completely to the ground three times during the Middle Ages.

To get an idea of the true price of this item check-out Delcampe -- the world's equivalent of ebay (see link below) CLICK on Germany. CLICK on Bavaria - you'll find the card and the going prices .. in Euros. Just covert to $$.

Hi Joe,

"H&G" is an abbreviation of the old Higgins & Gage World Postal Stationery Catalog.

The last price update for Section 2 for countries beginning with "B" including Bavaria was published in 1986 when this card, H&G #8b, was priced at $10.00 used.

The similar card #8 which instead has an umlaut symbol of two dots over the "o" of Konigreich was priced at 75c used.
