It's such an obviously altered stamp. Both the seller and buyer should be ashamed. US$9800 for a partially bleached stamp!?!

The bright white of the inner stamp compared to dull brown white stamp boarder.

The inked areas around the bleach out center of the stamp has also been damaged.

To pay $9,800 for that.......

It is hilarious and sad at the same time. All the sales are listed as "Private". I can see the stamp was altered with my glass eye.

I agree with the above, but I'm thinking the stamp may have started as a proof rather than a "regular" stamp, with its ultra-wide margins, odd color, and raggedy privately-manufactured perforations.

The buyer got exactly what they deserved. To spend almost 10K on something without a certificate is just ignorant.

Don't get worked up over this ---the buyer and seller is proable the same person . To pull off a good con ,this person is trying to build a price structure for this fake creation .The money isn't made on the signle stamp but on the ten or twenty he made to sell at half price to others after a set price is established on the first copy .......any of you want three more like that at half price .Nice con ,now he will go fishing for those who want a bargin and will keep quiet about it .
