A 498 And A 525?

Both are Perf 11

The Stamp on the left measures 19 mm x 22 mm making it a 498?

The stamp on the right measures 18.5 mm x 21.5 mm (I measured it 10 times)
Color is a grayish green? Therefore a 525?

The gray green color is a sure indication of an offset printing #525.

Hello - I had placed my Washington Franklins aside - as they were kind of stressing me, plus I am still waiting on my watermark kit. I decided to try to identify one today. I narrowed it down to a 498 or a 525. Flat Plate, 11 perf. I cannot see any signs of a watermark.

I believe it to be a 498 due to the color. was hoping to get validation. Thanks all - I am working on my album and wanted to identify a couple more. Nora.

Why do people continually try and measure the design. It is rarely reliable and is mostly uneccessary.

I did not measure the design - only perfs and identified printing type. It is the paper that I am not experienced at - and not sure how to identify offset printing. I am sure it is a 498 - I just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

Looks like setoff on the back of the stamp … another flat plate stamp indicator.
