#492, Critique My Evaluation Requested

Some other views on my evaluation of this stamp should be helpful.

2¢ George Washington, regular issue from 1917
unused
perf 10 vertically, a horizontal coil
rotary press - 19+mm X 22 1/2mm
Ph = previously hinged
no wmk was visualized and it has about 50% OG (+ or -)
Type III - two lines in ribbon
I Grade it - Average
A small light blue stain in UL, could that be part of a cancel





Any and all guidance is sincerely appreciated.

For what is worth, I don't think the blue spot is part of a cancel.

Me neither, but I I would still rate it "fine"

As long as you are sure there's no watermark. Single-lines are deceiving and at times hard to see. Colors on monitors being what they are, the color doesn't seem to have as much Rose to it as most 492s have , tending more toward a 455 color. BUT color isn't the defining factor, its the watermark.
