Hey Everybody I have some stamps that I would like to get some more information about (and find out their value). I think the one in the middle is : Scott #486 4c yellow green, Woman and Carabao

But I don't know anything about the other two. I have 8 of the middle one, 4 of the upper, and 4 of the lower. They were in the wallet of my great uncle who died almost two years before I was born in 1978. He was in the navy in 1944-1945 in the south pacific. I believe these would have been what he used to send letters home.

Any info would be appreciated.

I'm sorry forgot to get to this one. The first one is Scott#461(1941) value about 50 cents. The second one is Scott # 384 (1935) value 25 cents.

Lets not forget the last one it is Scot#N22 (1943-1944) value about 20 cents and it is from the Philippines too. This would be an Occupation Stamp when Japan controlled the country.

Your stamps are

O37, an official stamp, Scott catalog value 20 cents each
384, CV 20 cents -- 486 384 with a Victory/Commonwealth overprint
N22, Japanese occupation stamps, CV 20 cents each

However, most of these appear to be damaged.
Sorry I can't give you better news.

I missed the O. B. on the first stamp. This would be the #461 overprint in black. it has a Scott # O37 and the value is 20 cents. This was called an Official Handstamp Overprint. The O. B. stands for Official Business.

Thanks...that is all I was looking for. I didn't expect them to be worth anything just wanted to know what they are.
