I was recently web surfing some biographies of old TV actors and came across this obscure Wiki reference for Guy Williams (1924-1989), a minor TV star of the 1950s and 1960s TV shows "Zorro" and "Lost in Space":
Quote:
The impression of a US Postage Stamp commemorative of Guy Williams was cancelled due to the change of the US Postal Service's protocol, though the fans had been campaigning for the stamp since 1998.
While I was not particularly a fan, does anyone know the circumstances surrounding what "change" there was in USPS protocol that precluded such a stamp from being issued?
