That one is very nice to look at.
Very simple and well arranged.

A 2007 52c Jasper National Park stamp tied to it's cover envelope by a Pocon postmark:

005848 005843
2007 -08- 13
YORK HARBOUR, NF-TN
(now NL)
A0L 1L0
Rectangle, 46 x 32 mm, framed.
(NF = previous official designation for Newfoundland and Labrador, TN = French = Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador.)
The NL may actually be NF plus some other non-readable characters?, opinions are welcomed.

edit: changed POCON number refering to Canada Post URL Find a Post Office.

The provincial designation on this postmark would be the bilingual "NF-TN"

I believe that this is:

POCON: 000493
Date: 20th March, 2006
Town: Bridgeport, NL
Code: A0G-1H0

Edited: To change POCON '000498' to '000493' - Thanks!

Thanks, the POCON looks like those numbers to me.

Now, after checking Canada Post's web site 'Find A Post Office' for York Harbour, and that URL address, as mentioned in posts below, I see, with my old eyes, that the number is 000493.

Thanks all for posting.

York Harbour, NL :
http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/a...d=0000000493
It is neat that Canada Post leaves ten digits (4 zeros and then the 6-numeral POCON) at the end.

POCON: 000498
Date: 20th March, 2006
Town: Bridgeport, NL
Code: A0G-1H0

The POCON for Bridgeport is 000493. You can confirm that by checking Canada Post's website. Go to "Find a Post Office", enter the post office name, then click on the post office's name. That will give you a screen showing the specifics of that office.
Look at the URL for that specific office and you will notice that the POCON is embedded in the URL as the last 6 digits of the URL. Hope this helps.

Thank you!

I had never looked at the URL. Looked everywhere else instead. I will put this info in the first post of this thread also.

I have recently noticed, since working on the POCON postmarks, that the POCON number for a particular Post Office is also found on pick-up cards left by a delivery person when I am out, and also on the cards send by the Post Office where the parcel is taken to for later pick-up.

The card (postcard-like_ is then to be taken by the addressee (me) to that PostOffice to pick up that non-deliverable parcel or item.

Another collectible item!

Thanks again for the URL info. I have mis-read the POCON on the above York Harbour, NL postmark also!

Great to have some confirmation!
