It was previously reported that the 3c, 5c and 10c Beneficial Insects were reprinted around December 2009, with the thinner black border.

I just noticed that there is a constant variety on the second stamp in the sheets of 50, it consists of a vertical brown line running from the margin to the right of the inscription, down into the stamp, just past the C of Canada.

It is present on all three reprint sheets I have, and not present on the original printing.

Can anyone else confirm this variety?

At first it seemed odd that the line is brown, as there is no brown color dot in the margin (not shown).

The only value that has a brown color dot is the 10c. The 10c was also reprinted with the narrow black margin, so no doubt they were printed on the same press sheet, probably with the 3c reprint also.

Great find Bee See. Congrats on the 4000 posts!

I looked for a sheet in my stamps and I somehow used my bees for postage. Still hunting though.

I went to a local post office (Langley BC) this past weekend, and the 3c, 5c and 10c sheets were all the ORIGINAL printings. Previously, I had bought reprints at the same office (a year or so ago).

I went into an RPO in New Westminster today and asked
for a sheet of 50 5c stamps. The lady went into the
backroom and brought out a sheet of 5c Handcrafts.
