I've always thought that the Revenue Stamps were among the most beautiful. This proves it.

Do the 1899 Documentary Stamps even though Canceled like the red $5.00 ones have
any value since used? as long as they are in decent shape? My uncle had some and I
am trying to help the family research the collection that has been sitting around for over 50 years.
I will start with this one and do more research daily. Or can someone direct me to a good general stamp
research site?

Depends on which stamps, and the type of cancellation. Some are very common and some are quite scarce.

Bumping older thread.

T360, in your original posting image of the one dollar face value, did you notice the plate scratch?
