I need some advice here. My current labelling method is to use a label maker and just stick the labels on to the side of my binder.

The problem is that within a month or two these labels start falling off and I have to create new labels! It is so frustrating.

What do you recommend I do? Should I just use a gluestick?

Sorry to hear about you troubles. Looks like you have plastic binders. The label adhesive is probably reacting with the plastic.
Anything I can think of in general that you stick to the back of the binder will either come loose or worse yet mess up the binder.

Does the binder manufacturer or where you bought these binders have any suggestions?

Maybe something like this would be your answer. It clips on to the spine of the binder and you can easily add or change the inserted cards to identify the contents:

Here's another style ... same concept but less industrial looking:

Okay.... Here's what I have been using for years. I have the G&K padded binders that Subway Stamps sells. I purchase these clear vinyl label holders that are adhesive backed & you just peel and press then onto the spine of the binder. Then you use Word and print up some colorful labels to slip in the pocket. None of these labels holders has ever come off of the binder. If you have trouble finding this brand in Canada, let me know & I'd be glad to send you a sample. Cheers, Terry

Ah, this problem. Well if you want a cheaper solution here is what I've done since I've documenting my stamps and relabeling the stockbooks.

You use scotch tape to hold up your label. Yep, scotch tape will stick on to your label and also to the stockbook. Unless you continually pick at it it'll last a long time.

I use the same type of label holders (different manufacturer) as Terry on my G&K mint sheet albums. You can buy them at most office supply stores. I've used them for a decade and they still stick well.

However, the G&K mint sheet albums have a flat spine. While you can still stick these label holders on stockbook albums, the edges of the label holder may pop up a little if the stockbook album has a curved spine. If you tape down the edges, you might as well just directly tape the labels to the spine. It is for this reason that I don't use the label holders for my stockbooks. But on binder albums, the label holders work great.

Thank you barhata and WT! for the suggestions -- I need try these. I have the same problem of spine labels constantly peeling-off my binders.

For the record
I use Brother PT-H110 Label Maker.

These are only for the extremist Labellers
Binders, spice bottles, computer leads, whatever
Like small computer labellers,
print and auto cut any size shape design.

I like it for my binders, as it prints sideways, leaving the text reading down the spine.
