Hi all,
For the record I collect Disney Theme stamps and have quite a collection but I'm getting really frustrated in nailing down some issue dates and I was wondering if there is a reliable source that can be recommended. I was told that Scott's Catalogue was the best one on the market and have managed to get access to a 2017 issue from a friend, but even that has some short comings. In Australia our libraries only hold SG Simplified books, which I basically picture books.
Any help would be appreciated.
Best Rgds, Dave R.

Many Disney stamps have been issued by countries that have a shady issue policy. Not all are listed, some just pop up and catalogue editors do not have the information on the issue date. |

Gibbons Stamps of the World volumes will have a year date. If you want day and month, their area catalogues will have them. As NSK says, because there is a large flow of these stamps, many of which would have had little or no postal use, catalogues may not know dates or may not be inclined to put too much effort into the listings. |

Tip: Perhaps you could have put "Disney" in the thread title, this helps collectors search the forum interested in the same discipline.
For the record A recondite and mystifying Disney Stamp, if that is your want.

Only for you Collin, One of those beautifully bound catlogues with stiched spine, always mindfull not to damage. Contortionist situation to hold book whilst stretching across for the scanner mouse. In Thailand he is known as "Mickey Nooo" with inflection Nooo as in Mooo (cow) |
