And don't forget the souvenir sheet, Scott 797, from the S.P.A.Convention in 1937 featuring the 10c stamp in green...

Great stamps, thanks for sharing them. I especially liked the one from Yosemite, reminds me of my trip there in August last year.

Me too as these are a real lovely series. I am also going to try and collect the line pairs, horizontal and vertical, as well as arrow blocks. Oh, and don't forget gutter pairs, corner blocks, wide margin blocks, etc. etc. etc.

Boy - this could go on forever!

Instead of starting a new topic with "Yellowstone perfin", I try it here.
First of all I have to admit, that I'm not into US stamps at all. So maybe my question is a bit silly for all experts.

Going through my US perfins, I found an edge piece of a Scott #744 (?) - 5 Cent, Yellowstone
Is that anything special concerning its value because of the missing perforation? For an old-school collector those stamps with holes are damaged anyway, I know, but for me as a perfin addict, its an even more interesting issue.

Thanks for your help!

Nothing special there, tommtomm. If you are into Farleys, are you aware of MYSTIC's "Farley's Follies" special pages? They show many different varieties such as gutter blocks, line pairs, etc.

I too like this set and collect them on cover as well. FWIW, my favorites: as to the picture itself -- 3c, 6c; as to overall design -- 8c; as to color choice -- 6c. My least favorite: as to color choice for the subject -- 9c; as to the color, period -- 4c. But I know, there's no disputing taste.

I absolutely love this set - has to be one of the most beautiful classical US issues.
