Here is a page I made for my forgery collection .The best way to identify most fakes and forgeries is to do a side by side scan .Many websites show fakes or forgeries but not a side by side example .

Didn't know anyone had bothered to forge Italian postage dues. Always surprised to see how often incompetent forgers ignore the perforation count.

Here is a scan of the difference between the early printing [the two center stamps }and the first stamp and last stamp are the later prints in bolder colors .These are footnoted in the Scott's Classic .

Finish the first of two pages of postage due stamps ,this scan doesn't show the color differences too well ,especial the dull colors of the early printings .

Here is the last page of the Italy 1870-1925 postage due stamps ,notice that I have the 50,60,1 lire ,2,5 and 10 lire in brown but the Scott Classic Catalog only list the 60 centesimi as brown .

Now on to the Heligoland stamps ,the problem with them is you need a blacklight to notice the difference in the printings .

Floortrader,

they are all catalogued in Gibbons except for the 50c. which is only catalogued as Magenta & Orange.

Could you show a larger scan of the 50c. as well as the back of the IL. which I have already asked twice for,

Okka

Floortrader,

The stamp looks genuine, are you sure it is without watermark.

A scan of the reverse should prove it,
