My sources for kiloware have virtually dried right up. I would take a hundred pounds a week, if I could get my hands on it.

I am also a kiloware fan! I'd be a bit ashamed to admit how much "not yet processed" stuff I have lying around, but it's in the multiple hundreds of Kgs ... yeesh.

Ryan

Not sure where Studystamps lives but Gilles is east Ryan is West and I'm in the middle. If we all split on 100 Kilos we should send it here and I promise I won't peek!

Folks

Is your kiloware modern, i.e post 2000, or is it the kind of material that was obtained before privacy laws were introduced?
As you know, recently used commemoratives sell for high prices.

I live in almost the exact middle of Canada, both literally and, some would say, figuratively. Several philatelic friends have said my office is the centre of Canadian philately! For those that know who I am, you will understand that comment.

My father still occasionally is able to buy mission mixtures, at $5/pound. The quantity and quality is nowhere near what it was years ago.

I'm going to have a lot of on and off paper 1930'3 - 1950's, maybe later than 1950 too. All I've seen of that part so far is piles stuffed into envelopes.

I'd be interested in joining this kiloware purchase if it's a reasonable price.

The $1 stamps are very nice with a light dated cancel. They are used somewhat out-of-period (stamp was issued in 1953).
Not high value, but nice looking.

I read the cancel as "1957", which is well within period.

The $1 Totem was not replaced until the $1 Export issue of 1963.
